What do you think about the Lordstown approach to building an electric truck? They appear to be using an existing chassis. Will it use GM’s truck frames, axles, suspension, and more? More details will be released at a later date. The final version of the Endurance truck will most likely have unique sheet metal. Regardless if you need a complete overhaul or rebuild kit, or just one part Endurance Power has you covered. The early prototype we see in this teaser video can be simply that – a prototype. As a premiere diesel engine parts dealer, Endurance Power Products offers an extensive line of aftermarket parts for diesel engines and components for nearly all over-the-road trucks and light & medium duty trucks. Lordstown is an up and coming electric truck manufacturer (based in Lordstown, OH) that is working on a new pickup truck with a very unique four wheel drive system. Each 20-inch wheel hides an electric motor that also incorporates a braking system (not just regenerative braking via the electric motors). Peak power is rated at 600 hp, and maximum driving range is estimated at 250+ miles. This is not a plug-in hybrid or a hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle. Energy comes from an onboard battery (it’s a BEV). Lordstown Motors just fully revealed its electric pickup truck at a virtual event staged in Ohio. The innovation comes in the form of four in-hub electric motors. The Endurance has arrived, adding one more not-for-sale entry to the electric pickup space. The Endurance design includes a traditional body-on-frame design with a fairly standard suspension system. What does this mean? Will the Endurance truck use GM’s previous generation full-size truck chassis and body? Is this also a look at what could be a Silverado or GMC Sierra electric prototype? Let’s look at the details. The test vehicle appears to be a camouflaged crew cab Chevy Silverado 1500 from a couple of years ago. ![]() Our EV's utilize integrated software, telematics, and true 4-wheel drive with power to each wheel.
